Investigating the case
Everyone meets virtually in our meeting room and our officer introduces the case. Separated into minor teams you will work on the case using clues and the many notes made by the police.
The case is solved
You work together in the race to solve the case first. After investigating the case, we gather everyone again. The case is reviewed and the winning team is selected.

The story
The storyParticipants gather in our virtual meeting room at an agreed time. Here they meet our instructor, an investigations officer, who asks the participants for their help in solving a murder recently committed at Shadow Hotel.
The police have been on the scene, witnesses have been questioned and various investigations have been carried out. But the police cannot piece the clues and sequence of events together. Unfortunately, due to lack of resources at the moment – you are therefore asked to assist.
After a joint introduction, participants are divided into smaller teams. Each team gains access to the case information and must then work the case together. For each team it’s a race against time to solve the case first. First team to crack it wins!
But beware – nothing is necessarily as it seems…
Besides cooperating on a murder mystery, during the exercise, teams will have the oppotunity to subsequently evaluate their teamwork and communication. These tools can then be re-shaped for use at work and with colleagues. Shadow Hotel is a fun game that sharpens the skills needed to cooperate virtually.
Content of the game
We provide you with a story and continuously release clues throughout the course of the game. An extra feature is our LIVE blog in which new information, updates and clues come to light as breaking news in real time. The game is led from the station HQ by our uniformed officer. The officer introduces you to the case and provides ongoing guidance throughout the investigation.
Everything takes place in our online meeting room and requires no preparation by the participants.
The participants simply need access to a computer with internet access and a webcam.
Possible uses
Shadow Hotel is a fun and entertaining game best suited for teams and businesses that work remotely and need a fun and entertaining break from their everyday life to strengthen their team spirit. It can be used as an alternative teamwork exercise, entertainment for the virtual get-together or a weekday break for those unable to physically meet.
The game is designed for businesses, and the difficulty level is set accordingly.
In Shadow Hotel, the teams compete against each other. Along the way, there are both joint scenes where everyone is gathered at once, and parts during which smaller teams work separately.
A similar game is Flight #CB702, which is structured the same way as Shadow Hotel but instead of investigating a murder case, the participants must solve a highstakes theft case onboard an airliner.

Is it LIVE or pre-recorded?
Everything takes place LIVE. At the agreed starting time, our facilitators are ready to greet you and your team in our virtual meeting room and will be present throughout the entire process.

Are you available on our preferred date?
Please check our booking calendar – or feel free to contact us – we would be happy to check a specific date or several specific dates for availability.

How many will be attending from your company?
We facilitate everything from start to finish.
Regardless of the selected edition participants will always have a facilitator who leads the entire game.
For events with many participants and/or in plus editions we’ll provide several facilitators that will attend and assist in the game and/or act as a backup with technical aspects, team division etc.
Which edition should we choose?
We guarantee that you will have a good experience, no matter which edition you choose.
If you want something extra, you can go with the plus edition. If you want to bring down the price, you can choose the light edition.

Is there any prepareration needed?
We will facilitate everything from the moment we step into the room and guide you throughout the entire game. Besides a computer with internet access and webcam, there is no preparation or downloading needed from the participants.
In Shadow Hotel the participants also have the opportunity to use their mobile phone to get easy access to our LIVE blog.
How many participants can we be?
In Shadow Hotel you can be between 4-1.000 participants.

What do I need to do?
After booking the event you can sit back and relax.
We will plan all the details and take care of the whole event from start to finish. Once we get started, there is nothing you need to do. You can participate on equal terms with your colleagues.
How many teams will we be divided into?
Participants will be divided into several teams. The number of teams depends on the final number of participants. We can split the teams randomly. Should you wish to determine the team in advance this is possible in the standard and plus editions.
When is the best time to start?
Our games can be conducted both during the day and throughout the evening.
We can start at whatever time suits you the best – no matter what timezone you are located in.
Can I change the date after booking?
Yes, you can change the date up to 30 days before. Note that the payment will remain due on the original date
